Exploring the Ideas That Shape Our World: Apologetics, Worldviews, History, Economics, and the Writings of Henry Stuart Atkins

My Story

I worked in the high technology industry for twenty-five years before founding my own digital marketing agency, while also teaching as a university professor for seventeen years. I am now retired. I studied at Indiana University, the University of California, Irvine, and the University of Strasbourg, and I hold a B.A. in Biblical Studies with a Pre-Seminary minor from Columbia International University, an M.A. in Apologetics from Trinity International University, and an MBA from Pepperdine University. My wife and I live in California, and I’m known as “Papa Stu” to four wonderful grandchildren. I am also the author of three books, including one addressing the problem of evil and human suffering.

I grew up in the church and knew the Gospel story, but I had never truly met the main character until October 12, 1974, when I committed my life to Jesus Christ. That moment changed my life and worldview in ways that are difficult to express in just a few short paragraphs. This blog exists to encourage believers and to challenge skeptics alike. I am a sinner saved by God’s grace, and I count all things as loss compared to the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus, my Lord and Savior.

Come with me on this journey of faith, thought, reason, and history, and explore why the Bible is unlike any other book ever written. Its historical foundation, reliability, and internal consistency are unmatched among ancient texts. It stands apart — and on its own.
